Good News!!!!

This post is for km since I think she must have had a feeling when she asked about how we were doing with selling house #1.  I am pleased to say we our under contract with house #1.  Inspections are complete and went fine.  We had just accepted the offer the day before km asked, but wanted to make sure everything went fine with the inspections before posting it here.  Appraisal will be Monday and the couple was pre-approved for a mortgage that is well above the sales price so everything should be set for a end of May or sooner closing.

Yeah....1 house sold and 1 to go, but we are now in good shape to move forward with building our Avalon!!!  Wahoo!!!!

Furniture Purchase

For those of you interested in a real good deal, Raymour and Flanigan has their Friends and Family sale next weekend...15% off total purchase up to $2500, 20% off total purchase over $2500.  We got an email invite and were told we could come in early and get everything on an order form.  Next weekend we just need to stop in and leave a deposit.  The really nice thing is they will hold everything and deliver it to our new house sometime in September and we will not be actually charged for anything until it is delivered.

YOU DON"T NEED TO GET AN INVITE TO GO IN AND TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS SALE!!!

This is a chair and a half with matching ottoman.  This will go in the family room with our existing leather couch and 2 leather recliners.  The chair and a half will be for my wife and our 2 Cavapoo dogs.

We got 2 of these really comfy leather couches to go next to the fireplace in the basement.  Personally I think the picture is horrible...doesn't look comfy at all, but they are super comfy.

Haven't posted in a while.  We have made a few more changes and have a couple more still to finalize...will update the blog when we finalize everything.  We are kind of in a holding pattern right now.  The model home(Bainbridge Hall) for our development was completed a couple of weeks ago and our sales rep is now all moved in.  They have sold a whole bunch of homes already.  The two lots right next to ours have sold and the house immediately next to ours is already completely framed.  They are getting the fireplace stone we are considering for the basement fireplace and will get to see it in a couple of weeks.  2 more homes have broken ground already...so lots of activity.  We are tentatively slated to begin constuction sometime mid-June with a mid-September move-in date.
